| The design of the garden is considered to be an art in most cultures, distinguished by cultivating an orchard, which usually means maintaining the garden. In Japan, required the monks of Samurai and Zen gardens often construct decorative or practicing skills like flower arrangement known as ikebana. In the eighteenth century Europe, the states of the country were refashioned by landscape gardeners in formal gardens or landscaped park lands, for example in Versailles, France or Stowe, England. Today, the landscape architects and garden designers continue to produce creative artistic designs for private garden spaces. With regard to its food the production of the goal, gardening is distinguished from the leasing mainly by the balance and the intention. The leasing occurs on a greater scale, and with the production of the saleable goods like important motivation. The gardening is made on a smaller scale, mainly for the pleasure and to produce goods for the proper family or the community of the gardener . There is a certain overlapping between the limits, in particular of the fact some preoccupations moderate-classified with a vegetable culture, often called gardening of the market, can adapt in one or the other category. The principal distinction between the gardening and the leasing is primarily one of the balance; the gardening can be a pastime or a supplement of income, but cultivating is generally included/understood like full-time or commercial activity, usually implying more completely different ground and practices. A distinction is that the gardening is of labour and uses far from capital infrastructure, in general not more than some tools, for example a thimble, a hoe, a basket and a can of watering. However, this distinction becomes scrambled with the increasing use of the machine tools in same of small gardens. In the Soviet Union, half the food supply comes from small farmers 'garden plots on the huge government-run collective farms, even if they are tiny plots of land. Some argue that this demonstrated the superiority of capitalism, since farmers were generally able to sell their products.
